Endoscope

An endoscope comprising:

• an operating handle comprising a housing having an inner surface and an inner compartment;
• an insertion tube extending distally from the housing and having a distal end;
• a camera at the distal end of the insertion tube;
• a working channel extending from the housing to the distal end of the insertion tube;
• and
• control cables;
• a control lever comprising a wall and trunnions extending laterally from the wall;
• a first wall comprising a first support bearing;
• a second wall comprising a second support bearing, the first support bearing and the second support bearing receiving the trunnions to facilitate rotation of the control lever;
• and
• a sealed compartment in the inner compartment;
• electronic circuitry enclosed in the sealed compartment;
• and
• grooves configured to support the control cables in the inner compartment.
