Abstract
In some examples, a user equipment (UE) detects a change in a radio access technology, and in response to the change in the radio access technology, receives information sent by a wireless network. The UE compares the received information to a policy to determine whether a feature is supported by the wireless network, and based on the comparing, sends an indication informing the wireless network which network type of plural different network types to use for sending a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) message.
Claims20
A method comprising:
- detecting, by a user equipment (UE), a change in a radio access technology;
- in response to the change in the radio access technology, receiving, by the UE, information sent by a wireless network;
- comparing, by the UE, the received information to a policy to determine whether a feature is supported by the wireless network;
- and
- based on the comparing, sending, by the UE, an indication informing the wireless network which network type of plural different network types to use for sending a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) message.

A user equipment (UE) comprising:
- a memory to store a policy;
- and
- a processor configured to:
- detect, at the UE, a change in a radio access technology;
- in response to the change in the radio access technology, receive, at the UE, information sent by a wireless network;
- compare, at the UE, the received information to the policy to determine whether a feature is supported by the wireless network;
- and
- based on the comparing, send, from the UE, an indication informing the wireless network which network type of plural different network types to use for sending a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) message.
