Non-contact body temperature system and method

A system for non-contact body temperature determination of a visitor at a building entrance equipped with a doorbell, the system comprising:

• a doorbell for a building entrance, the doorbell actuatable by a visitor;
• a temperature sensor unit configured to be mounted adjacent the building entrance and configured to wirelessly transmit a signal, the temperature sensor unit responsive to actuation of the doorbell, wherein the temperature sensor unit includes a temperature sensor configured to acquire body temperature information of a human subject within a field of view of the temperature sensor;
• and
• a computing device having a user interface, the computing device configured to wirelessly communicate with the temperature sensor unit, to receive the body temperature information from the temperature sensor unit, and to display the body temperature information of the human subject to a user.
