Communication device and communication method

A communication device that operates as a management node in a first zone being a management domain on a network,

• the communication device comprising:
• a communication unit that executes communication with another node;
• a control unit that controls communication executed by the communication unit,
• wherein the first zone includes one or more resource bases each including one or more nodes that set one or more application functions (AFs) to act on a packet flowing through the network, in response to a request of a user, and
• the control unit calculates a deployment destination of the AF in the first zone based on resource information collected from each of the resource bases.

A communication method using a communication device that operates as a management node in a first zone being a management domain on a network,

• the communication method comprising:
• executing communication with another node;
• and
• controlling communication with the another node,
• wherein the controlling includes operations such that,
• when having received, from a user, a request regarding an application that chains one or more application functions (AFs) to act on a packet flowing in the network, information regarding the application is acquired from a second zone being a management domain other than the first zone, and then a deployment destination of the AFs in the network including the first zone and the second zone is calculated based on the information.

A communication method using a communication device that operates as a management node in a first zone being a management domain on a network,

• the communication method comprising:
• executing communication with another node;
• controlling communication with the another node,
• wherein the first zone includes one or more resource bases each including one or more nodes that set one or more application functions (AFs) to act on a packet flowing through the network, in response to a request of a user, and
• the controlling includes calculating a deployment destination of the AF in the first zone based on resource information collected from each of the resource bases.
