Method and apparatus for transmitting data unit on rrc inactive state in wireless communication system

A user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system, the UE comprising:

• at least one transceiver;
• at least one processor;
• and
• at least one computer memory operably connectable to the at least one processor and storing instructions that, when executed, cause the at least one processor to perform operations comprising:
• configuring a Packet Data Convergence Protocol (PDCP) entity, wherein the PDCP entity is associated with at least one Acknowledged Mode (AM) Radio Link Control (RLC) entities and a non-AM RLC entity;
• transmitting a first uplink data using the at least one AM RLC entities in a Radio Resource Control (RRC) CONNECTED state;
• receiving a RRC INACTIVE transition command;
• and
• transmitting a second uplink data using the non-AM RLC entity in the RRC INACTIVE state.

An apparatus for a user equipment (UE), the apparatus comprising:

• at least one processor;
• and
• at least one computer memory operably connectable to the at least one processor and storing instructions that, when executed, cause the at least one processor to perform operations comprising:
• configuring a Packet Data Convergence Protocol (PDCP) entity, wherein the PDCP entity is associated with at least one Acknowledged Mode (AM) Radio Link Control (RLC) entities and a non-AM RLC entity;
• transmitting a first uplink data using the at least one AM RLC entities in a Radio Resource Control (RRC) CONNECTED state;
• receiving a RRC INACTIVE transition command;
• and
• transmitting a second uplink data using the non-AM RLC entity in the RRC INACTIVE state.

A computer readable storage medium storing at least one computer program comprising instructions that, when executed by at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to perform operations for a user equipment (UE), the operations comprising:

• configuring a Packet Data Convergence Protocol (PDCP) entity, wherein the PDCP entity is associated with at least one Acknowledged Mode (AM) Radio Link Control (RLC) entities and a non-AM RLC entity;
• transmitting a first uplink data using the at least one AM RLC entities in a Radio Resource Control (RRC) CONNECTED state;
• receiving a RRC INACTIVE transition command;
• and
• transmitting a second uplink data using the non-AM RLC entity in the RRC INACTIVE state.
