Abstract
Filter holders and membranes are provided that can be included within a bioreactor bag system. The filter holders and membranes include features that allow incorporation of advanced membrane materials having differing material characteristics than traditional membranes that more closely matched the characteristics of the filter holder.
Claims20
A filter membrane comprising:
- a porous filter region, the porous filter region comprising a plurality of pores having a minimum dimension of less than 100 microns;
- and
- a support region, where the support region comprises at least one support structure.
A polyimide filter membrane comprising:
- a porous filter region, the porous filter region comprising a plurality of pores;
- and a support region, where the support region comprises a plurality of membrane support holes, the membrane support holes having a minimum dimension greater than the minimum dimension of the pores.
