Positioning state information (psi) timeline for physical layer positioning reporting

A user equipment (UE), comprising:

• a memory;
• at least one transceiver;
• and
• at least one processor communicatively coupled to the memory and the at least one transceiver, the at least one processor configured to:
• receive, via the at least one transceiver, during one or more time units up to a first time, a configuration to provide a positioning state information (PSI) report;
• measure, after the first time up to a second time, one or more positioning reference signal (PRS) transmissions;
• and
• cause the at least one transceiver to transmit, at a third time after the second time, the PSI report on an uplink physical channel, the PSI report including measurements of the one or more PRS transmissions, wherein a length of time between the second time and the third time is greater than a timing requirement Z′.

A user equipment (UE), comprising:

• means for receiving, during one or more time units up to a first time, a configuration to provide a positioning state information (PSI) report;
• means for measuring, after the first time up to a second time, one or more positioning reference signal (PRS) transmissions;
• and
• means for transmitting, at a third time after the second time, the PSI report on an uplink physical channel, the PSI report including measurements of the one or more PRS transmissions, wherein a length of time between the second time and the third time is greater than a timing requirement Z′.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing computer-executable instructions, the computer-executable instructions comprising:

• at least one instruction instructing a user equipment (UE) to receive, during one or more time units up to a first time, a configuration to provide a positioning state information (PSI) report;
• at least one instruction instructing the UE to measure, after the first time up to a second time, one or more positioning reference signal (PRS) transmissions;
• and
• at least one instruction instructing the UE to transmit, at a third time after the second time, the PSI report on an uplink physical channel, the PSI report including measurements of the one or more PRS transmissions, wherein a length of time between the second time and the third time is greater than a timing requirement Z′.
