Abstract
A method, software, database and system for determining an optimal treatment for an illness in an individual and for determining the impact (e.g., side effects and intended benefits) of the treatment in the individual are presented in which an attribute profile of the individual containing genetic and non-genetic attributes is compared against a database containing combinations genetic and non-genetic attributes that are statistically associated with successful treatment of the illness in other individuals.
Claims20
A computer-implemented method comprising:
- obtaining, from a database structure, genetic attributes of a plurality of individuals, behavioral attributes of the plurality of individuals, and health information of the plurality of individuals;
- determining, from the genetic attributes and the health information, a subset of the genetic attributes that is correlated with a health condition;
- determining, from the behavioral attributes and the health information, a subset of the behavioral attributes that is correlated with the health condition;
- receiving further genetic attributes of a further individual;
- determining, based on a degree of overlap between the further genetic attributes and the subset of the genetic attributes that is correlated with the health condition, a genetic predisposition of the further individual to exhibit the health condition;
- identifying, from the subset of the behavioral attributes that is correlated with the health condition, behaviors that when modified have a statistically relevant impact on whether the further individual exhibits the health condition;
- and
- providing, to a client device associated with the further individual, one or more of the behaviors.
A computer-implemented method comprising:
- receiving genetic attributes of an individual;
- obtaining, from a database structure, a subset of genetic attributes from a population that is correlated with a health condition;
- determining, based on a degree of overlap between the genetic attributes of the individual and the subset of genetic attributes that is correlated with the health condition, a genetic predisposition of the individual to exhibit the health condition;
- obtaining, from the database structure, a subset of behavioral attributes from the population that is correlated with the health condition;
- identifying, from the subset of behavioral attributes that is correlated with the health condition, behaviors that when modified have a statistically relevant impact on whether the individual exhibits the health condition;
- and
- providing, to a client device associated with the individual, one or more of the behaviors.
A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing program instructions that, when executed by one or more processors of a computing system, cause the computing system to perform operations comprising:
- receiving genetic attributes of an individual;
- obtaining, from a database structure, a subset of genetic attributes from a population that is correlated with a health condition;
- determining, based on a degree of overlap between the genetic attributes of the individual and the subset of genetic attributes that is correlated with the health condition, a genetic predisposition of the individual to exhibit the health condition;
- obtaining, from the database structure, a subset of behavioral attributes from the population that is correlated with the health condition;
- identifying, from the subset of behavioral attributes that is correlated with the health condition, behaviors that when modified have a statistically relevant impact on whether the individual exhibits the health condition;
- and
- providing, to a client device associated with the individual, one or more of the behaviors.
