Retention system

A bioprocess Liquid System conveying a liquid comprising a biological material wherein the bioprocess Liquid System is adapted for connection and liquid communication with a liquid tight container, said bioprocess Liquid System comprising:

• a) at least one first housing adapted for conveying the liquid, wherein said at least one first housing has at least one rigid wall surrounding at least one chamber comprising a pumping element adapted for conveying said liquid, wherein the functionality of said pumping element is controlled by a Programable-Logic-Control (PLC) adapted for real time control of the pumping element for conveying the liquid,
• b) at least one second housing comprising at least one permeable membrane filter said second housing having a non-filtered inlet side and a filtered exit side, wherein the at least one first housing is in liquid communication with the at least one second housing,
• the at least one second housing having at least one first housing port being a non-filtered liquid entrance port,
• the at least one second housing having at least one second housing port being a concentrated non-filtered liquid retentate exit port,
• the at least one second housing having at least one third housing port being a liquid permeate exit port.
