Cooking device with selective heating

A method comprising:

• obtaining, by a computing device coupled to a cooking device, sensor data from one or more sensors of the cooking device;
• generating, using the sensor data, a signal configured to activate one or more apertures of the cooking device, wherein each aperture of the one or more apertures is configured to modulate energy transfer from a first cavity to a second cavity;
• and
• sending the signal to the one or more apertures of the cooking device.

A system, comprising:

• one or more processors;
• and
• machine-readable media interoperably coupled with the one or more processors and storing one or more instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, perform operations comprising:
• obtaining, by a computing device coupled to a cooking device, sensor data from one or more sensors of the cooking device;
• generating, using the sensor data, a signal configured to activate one or more apertures of the cooking device, wherein each aperture of the one or more apertures is configured to modulate energy transfer from a first cavity to a second cavity;
• and
• sending the signal to the one or more apertures of the cooking device.
