High glycerol composition comprising blends of alkyl isethionate and alkyl taurate

A composition comprising:

• 1) 5 to 20% by wt. of a surfactant system comprising:
• a) alkali metal alkyl isethionate;
• b) alkali metal alkyl taurate;
• and
• c) amphoteric surfactant;
• wherein a weight ratio of (a) to (b) is 1:1.5 to 1:6 (R=0.667 to 0.166),
• wherein a ratio of (a) and (b)/(c) is 1:1 to 9:1;
• and
• 2) 20 to 60% by wt. glycerol;
• wherein the composition is sulfate-free.
