Multimedia broadcast multicast service (mbms) receiving method and apparatus

An electronic device, comprising:

• a memory, configured to store program instructions;
• and
• a processor, configured to call the program instructions stored in the memory and execute, according to the obtained programs, following steps:
• determining a first MBMS to be initiated;
• determining a state instruction corresponding to the first MBMS according to a mapping relationship, wherein the state instruction is configured for instructing the terminal to receive the first MBMS in an RRC connected state or a non-RRC connected state;
• determining, by the terminal, whether the terminal is currently in the non-RRC connected state in a case that the state instruction is configured for instructing the terminal to receive the first MBMS in the RRC connected state;
• and
• sending an RRC connection establishment request to a network device in a case that the terminal is currently in the non-RRC connected state, wherein the RRC connection establishment request comprises first instruction information, and the first instruction information is configured for instructing that a cause for establishing a present connection is to receive the first MBMS.
