Abstract
A method for controlling player movement within a virtual reality environment involves locating a position of a player within the virtual reality environment. It is then determined if the player is in a desired position within the virtual reality environment. A positive visual indicator is generated to the player if the player is located in the desired position. A negative visual indicator is generated to the player if the player is not located in the desired position.
Claims20
A method for controlling player movement within a virtual reality environment, comprising:
- locating a position of a player within the virtual reality environment;
- determining if the player is in a desired position within the virtual reality environment;
- generating a positive visual indicator to the player if the player is located in the desired position;
- and
- generating a negative visual indicator to the player if the player is not located in the desired position.
A method for controlling player movement within a virtual reality environment, comprising:
- locating a position of a player within the virtual reality environment;
- determining if the player is in a desired position within the virtual reality environment;
- generating a positive visual indicator to the player if the player is located in the desired position;
- and
- generating a negative visual indicator to the player if the player is not located in the desired position;
- establishing a predetermined number of activities to be performed by the player within the virtual reality environment;
- initiating a predetermined timer for completion of the predetermined number of activities by the player;
- determining whether the predetermined number of activities will be completed prior to expiration of the predetermined timer;
- increasing the number of predetermined activities responsive to the determination that the predetermined number of activities will be completed prior to expiration of the predetermined timer;
- and
- decreasing the number of predetermined activities responsive to the determination that the predetermined number of activities will not be completed prior to expiration of the predetermined timer.
A method for controlling player movement within a virtual reality environment, comprising:
- locating a direction of movement of a player within the virtual reality environment;
- determining if the player is moving in a desired direction within the virtual reality environment;
- generating a positive visual indicator to the player if the player is moving in the desired direction;
- and
- generating a negative visual indicator to the player if the player is not moving in the desired direction.
A method for controlling player movement within a virtual reality environment, comprising:
- establishing a predetermined number of activities to be performed by a player within the virtual reality environment;
- initiating a predetermined timer for completion of the predetermined number of activities by the player;
- determining whether the predetermined number of activities will be completed prior to expiration of the predetermined timer;
- increasing the number of predetermined activities responsive to the determination that the predetermined number of activities will be completed prior to expiration of the predetermined timer;
- and
- decreasing the number of predetermined activities responsive to the determination that the predetermined number of activities will not be completed prior to expiration of the predetermined timer.
