Abstract
An apparatus for manufacturing masonry blocks, comprising a shoe, a backup plate, a plurality of buffers disposed between the shoe and the backup plate, a plurality of snubbers disposed between the shoe and the backup plate and wherein a relaxed height of the plurality of buffers is equal to or less than a height of the plurality of snubbers.

An apparatus for manufacturing masonry blocks, comprising:
- a shoe;
- a backup plate;
- a plurality of buffers disposed between the shoe and the backup plate;
- a plurality of snubbers disposed between the shoe and the backup plate;
- and
- wherein a relaxed height of the plurality of buffers is equal to a height of the plurality of snubbers.

- a bottom surface formed by a mold bottom;
- a plurality of side surfaces formed by a plurality of mold sides;

- a top surface formed by a shoe, wherein the shoe is placed within a mold cavity and the shoe further comprises:
- a backup plate;

- a plurality of snubbers disposed between the shoe and the backup plate;

- wherein a relaxed height of the plurality of buffers is equal to a height of the plurality of snubbers.

- placing masonry mix in a mold;
- placing a shoe on top of the masonry mix, wherein the shoe further comprises:
- a backup plate;
- a plurality of buffers disposed between the shoe and the backup plate;

- and
- wherein a relaxed height of the plurality of buffers is equal to a height of the plurality of snubbers.
