Tracking system

A system for tracking objects at a live sporting event comprising:

• a computer including a processor and a memory operable to receive signal data measured by at least one sensor at a live sporting event, wherein the signal data is associated with a multiplicity of objects at the live sporting event;
• wherein the multiplicity of objects comprises at least one first object and at least one second object;
• wherein the at least one first object is configured with at least one tag;
• wherein the at least one second object is configured with at least one transponder and at least one tag reading circuit;
• wherein the at least one sensor has an identification (ID) code;
• wherein the computer is operable to determine locations of the multiplicity of objects based on the signal data;
• wherein the computer is further operable to change at least one sensor frequency based on the ID code of the at least one sensor;
• and
• wherein the computer is further operable to determine at which times the multiplicity of objects are to be tracked based on the at least one sensor frequency.

A system for tracking objects at a live sporting event comprising:

• a computer including a processor and a memory operable to receive data measured by at least one sensor, wherein the data is associated with a multiplicity of objects, and wherein the multiplicity of objects includes at least one player;
• wherein the at least one sensor includes at least one accelerometer;
• wherein the at least one sensor is configured with an identification (ID) code;
• wherein the processor is operable to detect a change in motion based on the at least one accelerometer;
• wherein the processor is operable to determine if the change in motion is sufficient to indicate a predefined force;
• wherein the processor is operable to automatically broadcast the predefined force to a listening station;
• and
• wherein the listening station is operable to maintain a history of impacts that cumulatively indicate risk of brain damage of the at least one player based on the ID code of the at least one accelerometer.
