Product release system, method and device having a customizable prepurchase function

A method of enabling prepurchase of one or more products via one or more product release servers, the method comprising:

• generating, with the product release servers, a product listing identifying a product based on product data, wherein the product data includes a product release date that is in the future;
• providing, with the product release servers, a platform user interface for generating a prepurchase event, wherein the platform user interface:
• displays a set of products including the product, the set of products associated with a product controller account on the product release platform;
• enables selection, with the product controller account, of the product from the set of products;
• enables selection of a starting time for the prepurchase event with the product controller account;
• and
• enables selection of an end condition for the prepurchase event with the product controller account;
• receiving selections of the product, the starting time and the end condition;
• generating the prepurchase event based on the product, the starting time and the end condition, wherein the prepurchase event includes a purchase function that enables one or more customers to complete a purchase transaction to purchase and obtain the product before the product release date, wherein the starting time is before the product release date;
• and
• in advance of the product release date, with the product release servers, facilitating purchase of the product by the one or more customers using the purchase function and providing access to the product to the one or more customers during the prepurchase event.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing a product release platform configured to:

• generate a product listing identifying a product based on product data, wherein the product data includes a product release date that is in the future;
• provide a platform user interface for generating a prepurchase event, wherein the platform user interface:
• displays a set of products including the product, the set of products associated with a product controller account on the product release platform;
• enables selection, with the product controller account, of the product from the set of products;
• enables selection of a starting time for the prepurchase event with the product controller account;
• and
• enables selection of an end condition for the prepurchase event with the product controller account;
• receive selections of the product, the starting time and the end condition;
• generate the prepurchase event based on the product, the starting time and the end condition, wherein the prepurchase event includes a purchase function that enables one or more customers to complete a purchase transaction to purchase and obtain the product before the product release date, wherein the starting time is before the product release date;
• and
• in advance of the product release date, facilitate purchase of the product by the one or more customers using the purchase function and provide access to the product to the one or more customers during the prepurchase event.

A product release system for enabling prepurchase of one or more products, the product release system comprising:

• one or more servers including a processor and a non-transitory computer-readable medium coupled with the processor, storing a product release platform having a platform user interface, wherein the product release platform is operable to:
• generate a product listing identifying a product based on product data, wherein the product data includes a product release date that is in the future;
• provide the platform user interface for generating a prepurchase event, wherein the platform user interface:
• displays a set of products including the product, the set of products associated with a product controller account on the product release platform;
• enables selection, with the product controller account, of the product from the set of products;
• enables selection of a starting time for the prepurchase event with the product controller account;
• enables selection of an end condition for the prepurchase event with the product controller account;
• and
• enables the adjustment of the starting time and the end condition of the prepurchase event;
• receive selections of the product, the starting time and the end condition;
• generate the prepurchase event based on the product, the starting time and the end condition, wherein the prepurchase event includes a purchase function that enables one or more customers to complete a purchase transaction to purchase and obtain the product before the product release date, wherein the starting time is before the product release date;
• and
• in advance of the product release date, facilitate purchase of the product by the one or more customers using the purchase function.
