Apparatus and Method of UCI Multiplexing in PUCCH Resources for Multiple TRPs

An apparatus comprising

• a receiver that receives a first physical uplink control channel resource carrying a set of uplink control information in a time interval;
• and
• a processor that decodes the first physical uplink control channel resource to obtain the set of uplink control information;
• wherein, upon determining that hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgement is expected in the time interval, the processor decodes only the first physical uplink control channel resource received in the time interval.

An apparatus comprising:

• a receiver that receives a first physical uplink control channel resource carrying a set of uplink control information in a time interval;
• and
• a processor that decodes the first physical uplink control channel resource to obtain the set of uplink control information;
• wherein, upon determining that hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgement is expected in the time interval and that the hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgement is not successfully decoded in the first physical uplink control channel, the processor controls the receiver to receive a second physical uplink control channel resource in the time interval.
