Information Transmission Method, Terminal Device, and Network Device

A method, comprising:

• sending, by a network device, a request message to a terminal device, wherein the request message carries information comprising a carrier aggregation band combination range, and the carrier aggregation band combination range comprises at least one of a requested band in which a carrier in a carrier aggregation band combination comprised in the carrier aggregation band combination range is located, a requested maximum bandwidth of carriers in the carrier aggregation band combination comprised in the carrier aggregation band combination range, or a requested maximum quantity of the carriers in the carrier aggregation band combination comprised in the carrier aggregation band combination range;
• and
• receiving, by the network device, information of a carrier aggregation capability and information of baseband capabilities from the terminal device, wherein the carrier aggregation capability indicates a quantity of carriers in a carrier aggregation band combination supported by the terminal device and further indicates a bandwidth of a carrier in the carrier aggregation band combination supported by the terminal device, and the baseband capabilities comprise a first multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) capability, and the first MIMO capability indicates a quantity of MIMO layers that is capable of being processed by the terminal device, wherein the carrier aggregation capability meets the carrier aggregation band combination range, and the carrier aggregation capability comprises the carrier aggregation band combination supported by the terminal device, wherein the baseband capabilities meet a baseband capability range, and the baseband capabilities is with regard to each class of at least one class of carrier information, and each class of carrier information comprises a quantity of carriers and a bandwidth of a carrier, and the baseband capability range of the respective class is determined based on a carrier aggregation band combination corresponding to the respective class.

A device, comprising:

• a non-transitory memory storage comprising instructions;
• and
• one or more processors in communication with the memory storage, wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the device to perform:
• sending a request message to a terminal device, wherein the request message carries information comprising a carrier aggregation band combination range, and the carrier aggregation band combination range comprises at least one of a requested band in which a carrier in a carrier aggregation band combination is located, a requested maximum bandwidth of carriers in the carrier aggregation band combination, or a requested maximum quantity of the carriers in the carrier aggregation band combination;
• and
• receiving information of a carrier aggregation capability and information of baseband capabilities from the terminal device, wherein the carrier aggregation capability indicates a quantity of carriers in a carrier aggregation band combination supported by the terminal device and further indicates a bandwidth of a carrier in the carrier aggregation band combination supported by the terminal device, and the baseband capabilities comprise a first multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) capability, and the first MIMO capability indicates a quantity of MIMO layers that is capable of being processed by the terminal device, wherein the carrier aggregation capability meets the carrier aggregation band combination range, and the carrier aggregation capability comprises the carrier aggregation band combination supported by the terminal device, wherein the baseband capabilities meet a baseband capability range, and the baseband capabilities is with regard to each class of at least one class of carrier information, and each class of the carrier information comprises a quantity of carriers and a bandwidth of a carrier, and the baseband capability range of the respective class is determined based on a carrier aggregation band combination corresponding to the respective class.

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium, comprising executable instructions, wherein the executable instructions, when executed by a computer, cause the computer to:

• send a request message to a terminal device, wherein the request message carries information comprising a carrier aggregation band combination range, and the carrier aggregation band combination range comprises at least one of a requested band in which a carrier in a carrier aggregation band combination is located, a requested maximum bandwidth of carriers in the carrier aggregation band combination, or a requested maximum quantity of the carriers in the carrier aggregation band combination;
• and
• receive information of a carrier aggregation capability and information of baseband capabilities from the terminal device, wherein the carrier aggregation capability indicates a quantity of carriers in the carrier aggregation band combination supported by the terminal device and further indicates a bandwidth of a carrier in the carrier aggregation band combination supported by the terminal device, and the baseband capabilities comprise a first multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) capability, and the first MIMO capability indicates a quantity of MIMO layers that is capable of being processed by the terminal device, wherein the carrier aggregation capability meets the carrier aggregation band combination range, and the carrier aggregation capability comprises the carrier aggregation band combination supported by the terminal device, wherein the baseband capabilities meet a baseband capability range, and the baseband capabilities is with regard to each class of at least one class of carrier information, and each class of carrier information comprises a quantity of carriers and a bandwidth of a carrier, and the baseband capability range of the respective class is determined based on a carrier aggregation band combination corresponding to the respective class.
