Abstract
A method and apparatus for acquiring uplink transmission timing advance and a communication system. The method includes: a network device obtains a timing advance command value (TA), the TA being related to a first reference subcarrier spacing (SCS) used by a terminal equipment for calculating timing advance (TTA); and the network device transmits a timing advance command (TA command), the TA command including the TA. Hence, the terminal equipment may be assisted in obtaining accurate timing advance of uplink transmission.

A terminal device comprising:
- a receiver configured to receive a timing advance command (TA command) including a timing advance command value (TA);
- a processor configured to:
- adjusts uplink transmission timing based on the TA, and a first subcarrier spacing (SCS),
- apply the adjusted uplink transmission timing after a first time point being correlated with a second SCS.

A network device comprising:
- a processor configured to obtain a timing advance command value (TA) that is related to a first subcarrier spacing (SCS) used by a terminal device for calculating timing advance (TTA);
- and
- a transmitter configured to transmit a timing advance command (TA command) including the TA, wherein,
- the timing advance is calculated by the terminal device based on the timing advance command value and the first subcarrier spacing, and is applied after a first time point being correlated with a second SCS.
