Abstract
Apparatuses, methods, and systems are disclosed for V2X communication over multiple radio access types. One method includes transmitting, from a remote unit, information indicating a vehicle-to-everything capability of the remote unit. The method includes receiving a response to the information indicating the vehicle-to-everything capability of the remote unit. The response indicates whether the remote unit is authorized to use the vehicle-to-everything capability.
Claims20
An apparatus comprising:
- a transmitter to transmit information as part of a registration request message to an access and mobility management function, the information indicating a vehicle-to-everything (V2X) capability of the apparatus, wherein the V2X capability comprises an identification of which PC5 radio access technologies the apparatus supports and the PC5 radio access technologies comprise PC5 evolved universal terrestrial radio access and PC5 new radio;
- and
- a receiver to receive a response to the registration request message, wherein the response indicates whether the apparatus is authorized to use V2X services based on subscription information corresponding to the apparatus.
A method at an access and mobility management function, the method comprising:
- receiving information as part of a registration request message, the information indicating a vehicle-to-everything (V2X) capability of a remote unit, wherein the V2X capability comprises an identification of which PC5 radio access technologies the remote unit supports and the PC5 radio access technologies comprise PC5 evolved universal terrestrial radio access and PC5 new radio;
- and
- transmitting a response to the registration request message, wherein the response indicates whether the remote unit is authorized to use the PC5 evolved universal terrestrial radio access, the PC5 new radio, or a combination thereof based on subscription information corresponding to the remote unit.
An apparatus comprising:
- a receiver to receive information as part of a registration request message, the information indicating a vehicle-to-everything (V2X) capability of a remote unit, wherein the V2X capability comprises an identification of which PC5 radio access technologies the remote unit supports and the PC5 radio access technologies comprise PC5 evolved universal terrestrial radio access and PC5 new radio;
- and
- a transmitter to transmit a response to the registration request message, wherein the response indicates whether the remote unit is authorized to use the PC5 evolved universal terrestrial radio access, the PC5 new radio, or a combination thereof based on subscription information corresponding to the remote unit.
