Control apparatus and control method performed thereby

A control method in a distribution device, the control method comprising:

• integrating a plurality of profiles corresponding to a distribution setting for each of a plurality of image capturing units and generating a virtual profile;
• distributing a plurality of videos as a single stream, based on the virtual profile, the plurality of videos being obtained from the plurality of image capturing units;
• and
• when the virtual profile becomes an invalid configuration during distribution by the distributing, updating the virtual profile to a valid configuration while maintaining an encoding setting included in the plurality of profiles, and continuing the distribution of the stream based on the virtual profile updated.

A non-transitory computer-readable recording medium storing a program for causing a computer to execute a control method in a distribution device, the control method comprises:

• integrating a plurality of profiles corresponding to a distribution setting for each of a plurality of image capturing units and generating a virtual profile;
• distributing a plurality of videos as a single stream, based on the virtual profile, the plurality of videos being obtained from the plurality of image capturing units;
• and
• when the virtual profile becomes an invalid configuration during distribution by the distributing, updating the virtual profile to a valid configuration while maintaining an encoding setting included in the plurality of profiles, and continuing the distribution of the stream based on the virtual profile updated.
