Performing key server redundancy verification to verify a key is obtained from redundant key servers

A computer program product for key server redundancy verification, wherein the computer program product comprises a computer readable storage medium having program instructions executable by a processor to cause operations, the operations comprising:

• sending a key request to a key server to obtain a key from at least two redundant key servers;
• determining whether a redundancy verification requirement is satisfied in response to receiving the requested key from the at least two redundant key servers;
• indicating redundancy verified, which indicates the key is obtained from at least two redundant key servers, in response to determining that the redundancy verification requirement is satisfied;
• sending a redundancy information request to the key server to request a redundancy status in response to determining that redundancy verification requirement is not satisfied;
• and
• indicating redundancy verified in response to a response to the redundancy information request indicating the key was replicated to at least two redundant key servers.

A system for obtaining key server information to use to communicate with a key server, comprising:

• a processor;
• and
• a computer readable storage medium having program instructions that when executed by the processor causes operations, the operations comprising:
• sending a key request to a key server to obtain a key from at least two redundant key servers;
• determining whether a redundancy verification requirement is satisfied in response to receiving the requested key from the at least two redundant key servers;
• indicating redundancy verified, which indicates the key is obtained from at least two redundant key servers, in response to determining that the redundancy verification requirement is satisfied;
• sending a redundancy information request to the key server to request a redundancy status in response to determining that redundancy verification requirement is not satisfied;
• and
• indicating redundancy verified in response to a response to the redundancy information request indicating the key was replicated to at least two redundant key servers.

A method for obtaining key server information to use to communicate with a key server, comprising:

• sending a key request to a key server to obtain a key from at least two redundant key servers;
• determining whether a redundancy verification requirement is satisfied in response to receiving the requested key from the at least two redundant key servers;
• indicating redundancy verified, which indicates the key is obtained from at least two redundant key servers, in response to determining that the redundancy verification requirement is satisfied;
• sending a redundancy information request to the key server to request a redundancy status in response to determining that redundancy verification requirement is not satisfied;
• and
• indicating redundancy verified in response to a response to the redundancy information request indicating the key was replicated to at least two redundant key servers.
