System and method for fraud control

A method comprising:

• receiving, from a point-of-sale (POS) terminal for a transaction, first location data for the POS terminal;
• receiving second location data from a mobile device of an account holder, the second location data indicative of a current location of the mobile device at an approximate time the transaction is initiated;
• determining that the second location data is outside a first predetermined distance from the first location data;
• and
• responsive to determining that the second location data is outside the first predetermined distance from the first location data, automatically causing the mobile device to modify a graphical user interface (GUI) to include (i) a first selectable graphical input to enable the account holder to complete the transaction, (ii) a second selectable graphical input to enable the account holder to deny the transaction, and (iii) a warning notification indicating to the account holder the transaction is indicative of a fraudulent transaction.

A system comprising:

• one or more processors;
• and
• a memory in communication with the one or more processors and storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, are configured to cause the system to:
• receive, from a point-of-sale (POS) terminal for a transaction, first location data for the POS terminal;
• receive second location data from a mobile device of an account holder, the second location data indicative of a current location of the mobile device at an approximate time the transaction is initiated;
• determine that the second location data is outside a first predetermined distance from the first location data;
• and
• responsive to determining that the second location data is outside the first predetermined distance from the first location data, automatically cause the mobile device to modify a graphical user interface (GUI) to include (i) a first selectable graphical input to enable the account holder to complete the transaction, (ii) a second selectable graphical input to enable the account holder to deny the transaction, and (iii) a warning notification indicating to the account holder the transaction is indicative of a fraudulent transaction.
