Lithium Metal Secondary Battery and Battery Module Including the Same

A method of controlling a charge/discharge of a lithium metal secondary battery comprising an electrode assembly comprising a negative electrode, a positive electrode and a separator between the negative electrode and the positive electrode;

• a non-aqueous electrolyte with which the electrode assembly is impregnated;
• and a battery casing in which the electrode assembly and the non-aqueous electrolyte are contained, wherein the negative electrode comprises a negative electrode current collector and a lithium metal layer disposed on at least one surface of the negative electrode current collector, the method comprising:
• charging the lithium metal secondary battery such that the lithium metal secondary battery is charged under a pressurization state with a first constant pressure of 3-300 psi, and
• discharging the lithium metal secondary battery such that the lithium metal secondary battery is discharged under a pressurized state with a second constant pressure that is lower than the first constant pressure applied during the charging.
