Multi-database log with multi-item transaction support

A computer-implemented method, comprising:

• obtaining, at a cloud-based logging service, a first commit requirement of a first transaction;
• determining, at the cloud-based logging service based at least in part on analysis of a first set of records stored in a log, a sequence in which a first set of other transactions indicated in the first commit requirement were committed;
• and
• rejecting the first transaction by the cloud-based logging service based at least in part on the sequence.

A system, comprising:

• one or more computing devices;
• wherein the one or more computing devices include instructions that upon execution on or across the one or more computing devices:
• obtain, at a cloud-based logging service, a first commit requirement of a first transaction;
• determine, at the cloud-based logging service based at least in part on analysis of a first set of records stored in a log, a sequence in which a first set of other transactions indicated in the first commit requirement were committed;
• and
• reject the first transaction by the cloud-based logging service based at least in part on the sequence.

One or more non-transitory computer-readable storage media storing program instructions that when executed on or across one or more processors:

• obtain, at a cloud-based logging service, a first commit requirement of a first transaction;
• determine, at the cloud-based logging service based at least in part on analysis of a first set of records stored in a log, a sequence in which a first set of other transactions indicated in the first commit requirement were committed;
• and
• reject the first transaction by the cloud-based logging service based at least in part on the sequence.
