Abstract
A magnetic disk device includes a plurality of magnetic disks, a plurality of sliders each including one or more resistive elements, each of which is arranged to face a recording surface of one of the plurality of magnetic disks, and is provided corresponding to the plurality of magnetic disks, and a processor configured to detect a change in a resistance value of one or more of the plurality resistive elements.

A magnetic disk device comprising:
- a plurality of magnetic disks;
- a plurality of sliders each including one or more resistive elements, each of which is arranged to face a recording surface of one of the plurality of magnetic disks;
- and
- a processor configured to detect a change in a resistance value of one or more of the plurality resistive elements, wherein
- the plurality of the resistive elements are electrically connected to each other through switches which are controlled to electrically connect the resistive elements in series or in parallel.

- a plurality of magnetic disks;
- a plurality of sliders each including one or more resistive elements, each of which is arranged to face a recording surface of one of the plurality of magnetic disks;
- a first circuit to which a first group of the resistive elements are electrically connected in series;
- a second circuit to which a second group of the resistive elements are electrically connected in series;
- and
- a processor configured to detect a change in a resistance value of one or more of the resistive elements in the first group or the second group.
