User Equipment State Estimation

A method for state estimation of a user equipment connected to a wireless communication network, wherein said method comprises the steps of:

• obtaining measurement information related to a range-related measurement concerning a user equipment;
• said measurement information comprising data of said range-related measurement, a time at which said range-related measurement was performed, an identity of said user equipment and data enabling determination of a measuring position;
• said range-related measurement consists of data defining a distance between said user equipment and said measuring position;
• performing a state estimation of said user equipment based on said measurement information.

A node, configured for state estimation of a user equipment connected to a wireless communication network,

• wherein said node is configured to obtain measurement information related to a range-related measurement concerning a user equipment;
• said measurement information comprising data of said range-related measurement, a time at which said range-related measurement was performed, an identity of said user equipment and data enabling determination of a measuring position;
• said range-related measurement consists of data defining a distance between said user equipment and said measuring position;
• and
• wherein said node is further configured to perform a state estimation of said user equipment based on said measurement information.
