Abstract
A storage system stores objects in a bucket at a storage device of the storage system. Each of the objects has a corresponding version. A processing device generates a snapshot of the bucket. The snapshot captures the corresponding version of each of the objects at a time associated with the generation of the snapshot.
Claims20
A method comprising:
- storing a plurality of objects in a bucket at a storage device of a storage system, each of the plurality of objects having a corresponding version;
- and
- generating, by a processing device, a snapshot of the bucket, wherein the snapshot captures the corresponding version of each of the plurality of objects at a time associated with the generation of the snapshot.
A non-transitory, computer-readable media having instructions thereupon which, when executed by a processing device, cause the processing device to:
- store a plurality of objects in a bucket at a storage device of a storage system, each of the plurality of objects having a corresponding version;
- and
- generate a snapshot of the bucket, wherein the snapshot captures the corresponding version of each of the plurality of objects at a time associated with the generation of the snapshot.
A storage system comprising:
- a storage device;
- and
- a processing device, operatively coupled to the storage device, to:
- store a plurality of objects in a bucket at the storage device of the storage system, each of the plurality of objects having a corresponding version;
- and
- generate a snapshot of the bucket, wherein the snapshot captures the corresponding version of each of the plurality of objects at a time associated with the generation of the snapshot.
