Method for controlling network connection, terminal and non-transitory storage medium

A non-transitory storage medium, wherein the non-transitory storage medium stores program codes which, when being executed by a processor, cause the processor to perform:

• detecting a connection status between a terminal and a master base station, wherein the terminal is in a dual connectivity mode and capable of communicating with both of the master base station and a secondary base station, and the connection status indicates whether the terminal has established a communication connection with the master base station;
• comparing a length of time for the connection status with a predetermined time, wherein the length of time is for which the terminal does not establish the communication connection with the master base station;
• and
• prohibiting the terminal from connecting with the secondary base station, in response to the length of time being equal to or longer than the predetermined time.
