Curating proxy server pools

A method of employing heuristic prediction of a health of an exit node pool for selecting and assigning a ranked exit node to the exit node pool, for fulfillment of a user request, with the ranked exit node being ranked based on an aggregated exit node history, the method comprising:

• setting a minimal threshold of the health of the exit node pool for executing the user request;
• heuristically predicting a future behavior of an exit node in the exit node pool, including evaluating the health of the exit node pool, a quality of the exit node, and an impact of the exit node on an overall exit node pool health;
• heuristically determining a future health of the exit node pool based at least in part on the future behavior of the exit node in the exit node pool;
• comparing the future health to the minimal threshold;
• and,
• wherein if the future health is below the minimal threshold, the ranked exit node is added to the exit node pool, or
• wherein if the future health of the exit node pool is above the minimal threshold, the exit node pool is not modified;
• wherein the heuristically determining of the future health of the exit node pool includes determining whether the future health will fall below the minimal threshold, and, if the future health will fall below the minimal threshold, requesting an other ranked exit node from an exit node database.

A method of employing heuristic prediction of a health of an exit node pool for selecting and assigning a ranked exit node to the exit node pool, for fulfillment of a user request, with the ranked exit node being ranked based on an aggregated exit node history, the method comprising:

• setting a minimal threshold of the health of the exit node pool for executing the user request;
• heuristically predicting a future behavior of an exit node in the exit node pool;
• heuristically determining a future health of the exit node pool based at least in part on the future behavior of the exit node in the exit node pool;
• comparing the future health to the minimal threshold;
• and,
• wherein if the future health is below the minimal threshold, the ranked exit node is added to the exit node pool, or
• wherein if the future health of the exit node pool is above the minimal threshold, the exit node pool is not modified;
• wherein the heuristically predicting of the future health of the exit node pool and exit node quality can be based at least on one of:
• frequency, intervals, and schedule at which static parameters are changed (such as geolocation of exit node, exit node IP type, consent to participate in Content Delivery Network proxying, or any combination thereof),
• dynamic parameters (such as time seen, session duration, activity timestamps, total traffic, traffic over time, response time, latency, connection to target, battery life, geographical location, connection, IP type, consent to participate in a distributed CDN access model, or any combination thereof);
• aggregated dynamic parameters over any period of time (average speed, average session duration, timestamps, average traffic, average response time, average latency, most/least visited targets, error rate with a particular target, variations in which median and percentile groups are used, or any combination thereof);
• or,
• exit node service history (such as total pools per period, total users, total idle connection time, total pool time, average pool time, average pool change rate, average pool health, or any combination thereof).
