Abstract
An example operation may include one or more of receiving a request for trust information of an off-chain data source from a client, detecting that the trust information of the off-chain data source is not stored in a distributed ledger shared among a plurality of peer nodes, retrieving reliability data recursively identified and retrieved from a plurality of external sources having different reliability information of the off-chain data source, determining a reliability value based on a combination of the retrieved reliability data from the plurality of external sources, and transmitting the determined reliability value to the client.

An apparatus comprising:
- a memory configured to store a blockchain ledger;
- and
- a processor configured to
- periodically update a reliability value of a data source stored on the blockchain ledger based on reliability data from one or more services,
- receive a request from a client for the reliability value of the data source,
- retrieve the reliability value from the blockchain ledger,
- determine whether a consensus exists among a plurality of peers of the blockchain ledger with respect to the retrieved reliability value, and
- in response to a determination that the consensus exists, providing the retrieved reliability value to the client.
A method comprising:
- periodically updating a reliability value of a data source stored on a blockchain ledger based on reliability data from one or more services;
- receiving a request from a client for the reliability value of the data source;
- retrieving the reliability value from the blockchain ledger;
- determining whether a consensus exists among a plurality of peers of the blockchain ledger with respect to the retrieved reliability value;
- and
- in response to a determination that the consensus exists, providing the retrieved reliability value to the client.
A non-transitory computer-readable medium comprising instructions which when executed by a processor cause a computer to perform a method comprising:
- periodically updating a reliability value of a data source stored on a blockchain ledger based on reliability data from one or more services;
- receiving a request from a client for the reliability value of the data source;
- retrieving the reliability value from the blockchain ledger;
- determining whether a consensus exists among a plurality of peers of the blockchain ledger with respect to the retrieved reliability value;
- and
- in response to a determination that the consensus exists, providing the retrieved reliability value to the client.
