Abstract
In a method for adjusting a vehicle component a function of an operating element is selected by a first operating process and the vehicle component is adjusted by a second operating process carried out manually on the operating element. The first operating process is caused by a speech input, a gesture, and/or a gaze.

A method for adjusting a vehicle component, the method comprising:
- selecting a function of an operating element by a first operating process, wherein the first operating process is caused by a speech input, a gesture, or a gaze;
- and
- adjusting the vehicle component by a second operating process carried out manually on the operating element.
A device for adjusting a vehicle component, the device comprising:
- an operating element;
- a microphone for detecting a speech input or a camera, wherein the microphone or the camera are configured to allow selection of a function of the operating element;
- a control device connected to the operating element to receive the function selected by the microphone or camera, and connected to actuators to adjust vehicle components depending on the selected function and an actuation of the operating element.
