Percutaneous Valve Implants

A method, comprising:

• passing an annuloplasty ring, which includes a plurality of rotatably adjoining segments, over multiple threads, respective distal ends of which are distributed over an annulus of an intracardiac valve, such that the ring expands from a collapsed state to an expanded state by virtue of the segments rotating with respect to each other;
• and
• locking the ring in the expanded state at the valve, by inhibiting rotation of the segments with respect to each another.

Apparatus for implantation at an annulus of an intracardiac valve, the apparatus comprising:

• an expandable frame comprising a plurality of curved protrusions and configured to fit onto an annuloplasty ring implanted at the annulus by virtue of the protrusions curving over the ring;
• and
• two or more valve leaflets coupled to the frame.

A method, comprising:

• implanting an annuloplasty ring at an annulus of an intracardiac valve;
• and
• subsequently to implanting the annuloplasty ring, implanting an artificial valve, which includes a plurality of curved protrusions, over the ring, by fitting the protrusions over the ring.
