Controlling the Handling of Communication Sessions

An application server of a network, the application server comprising:

• processing circuitry;
• memory containing instructions executable by the processing circuitry whereby the application server is operative to:
• generate a script executable by a first user equipment, wherein execution of the script at the first user equipment controls handling of the communication session between the first user equipment and a second user equipment;
• and
• transmit an establishment request to the first user equipment for the establishment of the communication session between the first user equipment and the second user equipment, wherein the establishment request comprises the script for execution at the first user equipment.

A first user equipment of a network, the first user equipment comprising:

• processing circuitry;
• memory containing instructions executable by the processing circuitry whereby the first user equipment is operative to:
• receive an establishment request from an application server for the establishment of a communication session between the first user equipment and a second user equipment, wherein the establishment request comprises a script executable by the first user equipment;
• and
• execute the script, wherein the execution of the script controls handling of the communication session at the first user equipment.
