Systems and methods for syndicated distribution of electronic content

A computer-implemented method for executing an online distribution of electronic content the method including:

• receiving, from a user mobile device, a request for a document hosted by a publisher content management system;
• redirecting the received request to a syndication server system;
• delivering, from the syndication server system, content of the requested document to a stub document cached at the user's mobile device, and receiving, from the user mobile device, secondary pixel calls for content measurement or data collection;
• and
• adding the requested document to a missing content queue and redirecting the request to a server of the publisher content management system for generation of a formatted version of the requested document.

A system for executing online distribution of content, the system including:

• a computer readable data storage device storing instructions for executing a distribution of content;
• and
• a processor configured to execute the instructions to perform a method including:
• receiving, from a user mobile device, a request for a document hosted by a publisher content management system;
• redirecting the received request to a syndication server system;
• delivering, from the syndication server system, content of the requested document to a stub document cached at the user's mobile device, and receiving, from the user mobile device, secondary pixel calls for content measurement or data collection;
• and
• adding the requested document to a missing content queue and redirecting the request to a server of the publisher content management system for generation of a formatted version of the requested document.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions that, when executed by a processor, causes the processor to execute online distribution of electronic content, including:

• receiving, from a user mobile device, a request for a document hosted by a publisher content management system;
• redirecting the received request to a syndication server system;
• delivering, from the syndication server system, content of the requested document to a stub document cached at the user's mobile device, and receiving, from the user mobile device, secondary pixel calls for content measurement or data collection;
• and
• adding the requested document to a missing content queue and redirecting the request to a server of the publisher content management system for generation of a formatted version of the requested document.
