Forwarding a wireless signal using a digital repeater

A method of wireless communication performed by a digital repeater, comprising:

• receiving, from a control node, a configuration that indicates a digital processing operation, wherein the digital processing operation comprises a digital processing option selected from a plurality of digital processing options;
• receiving a first signal;
• performing the digital processing operation on the first signal to generate a second signal, wherein the second signal comprises a re-generated version of the first signal;
• and
• transmitting the second signal.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing a set of instructions for wireless communication, the set of instructions comprising:

• one or more instructions that, when executed by one or more processors of a digital repeater, cause the digital repeater to:
• receive, from a control node, a configuration that indicates a digital processing operation, wherein the digital processing operation comprises a digital processing option selected from a plurality of digital processing options;
• receive a first signal;
• perform the digital processing operation on the first signal to generate a second signal, wherein the second signal comprises a re-generated version of the first signal;
• and
• transmit the second signal.

An apparatus for wireless communication, comprising:

• means for receiving, from a control node, a configuration that indicates a digital processing operation, wherein the digital processing operation comprises a digital processing option selected from a plurality of digital processing options;
• means for receiving a first signal;
• means for performing the digital processing operation on the first signal to generate a second signal, wherein the second signal comprises a re-generated version of the first signal;
• and
• means for transmitting the second signal.
