A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium including instructions that, when executed by one or more processors of a wireless-power transmitter that includes a communication radio and an antenna array that is distinct from the communication radio, cause the wireless-power transmitter to:
- receive, via the communication radio, first data that allows the wireless-power transmitter to determine a first location of a first wireless-power receiver and a second location of a second wireless-power receiver;
- determine first waveform features used to transmit wireless power waves focused at the first location of the first wireless-power receiver;
- determine second waveform features used to transmit wireless power waves focused at the second location of the second wireless-power receiver;
- cause a first subset of antennas of the antenna array to transmit wireless-power waves having the first waveform features to create focused energy at the first location of the first wireless-power receiver;
- and
- cause a second subset of antennas of the antenna array to transmit wireless-power waves having the second waveform features to create focused energy at the second location of the second wireless-power receiver, wherein transmitting the wireless-power waves having the first waveform features to create focused energy at the first location of the first wireless-power receiver occurs while transmitting the wireless-power waves having the second waveform features to create focused energy at the second location of the second wireless-power receiver.
