Systems and methods for use in identifying network interactions

A computer-implemented method for use in identifying types of network interactions, the method comprising:

• receiving, by an acquirer computing device, from a computing device associated with a merchant, an authorization request for a transaction involving the merchant and initiated to a payment account based on a token associated with the payment account, wherein the authorization request includes an indicator of a type of the transaction;
• modifying, by the acquirer computing device, the authorization request to include the type of the transaction, based on the indicator;
• and then
• transmitting, by the acquirer computing device, the authorization request to a payment network associated with processing the transaction.

A computer-implemented method for use in identifying types of network interactions, the method comprising:

• receiving, by a computing device associated with a payment network, from an acquirer of a merchant, an authorization request for a transaction involving the merchant and initiated to a payment account based on a token associated with the payment account, wherein the authorization request includes an indicator of a type of the transaction;
• modifying, by the computing device, the authorization request to include the type of the transaction, based on the indicator;
• and then
• transmitting, by the computing device, the authorization request to an issuer of the payment account, whereby the issuer approves or declines the transaction based at least in part on the type of the transaction included in the authorization request.
