Abstract
A display device includes a substrate, a display element layer disposed on the substrate, and a protective layer disposed on the display element layer. The display device contains a light absorber represented by Formula 1, and the damage to the display device that may be caused by the UV-A light in the wavelength range of about 315 nm to about 400 nm may be prevented or reduced, and the reliability of the display device may be maintained:
Claims20
A display device comprising:
- a substrate;
- a display element layer on the substrate;
- and
- a protective layer on the display element layer,
- wherein at least one of the substrate, the display element layer, or the protective layer comprises a light absorber represented by Formula 1:
- wherein, in Formula 1,
- a1 is an integer of 1 to 10,
- Q is a substituted or unsubstituted arylene group having 6 to 30 ring-forming carbon atoms, or a substituted or unsubstituted heteroarylene group having 2 to 30 ring-forming carbon atoms, and
- R1 to R4 are each independently a hydrogen atom, a deuterium atom, a halogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group having 6 to 30 ring-forming carbon atoms, or a substituted or unsubstituted heteroaryl group having 2 to 30 ring-forming carbon atoms.
