Abstract
Systems and methods here may be used for capturing and analyzing spectrometer data of multiple sample gemstones on a stage, including mapping digital camera image data of samples, for both reflective and transmission modes.

A system for reflectance spectrometer analysis, the system comprising:
- a computer with a processor and memory, in communication with a spectrometer, a first light source, and a second light source;
- a reflectance subsystem including,
- a bifurcated reflectance subsystem fiber with a probe end mounted on a reflectance subsystem frame configured to allow the reflectance subsystem probe end to raise and lower over a reflectance subsystem stage;
- wherein a first of the bifurcated reflectance subsystem fibers is in communication with the light source and a second of the bifurcated reflectance subsystem fibers is in communication with the spectrometer;
- wherein the first and second bifurcated reflectance subsystem fibers is approximately 600 μm in diameter and separated by between 0.7 and 1.2 mm as measured from a center of each of the first and second bifurcated reflectance subsystem fibers.

A method for analyzing samples using reflectance spectrometer analysis, the method comprising:
- by a computer with a processor and memory, in communication with a spectrometer, and a first light source, and a second light source;
- causing a light signal to be sent from the first light source through an excitation fiber to a probe end mounted on a subsystem frame configured to be raised and lowered over a sample stage;
- receiving a response signal from the sample on the sample stage by a collection fiber to the spectrometer;
- and
- causing display of a fluorescence graph of the received response signal;
- completing reflectance steps by, sending a second light signal from a second light source through a reflectance subsystem bifurcated fiber to a reflectance subsystem probe end mounted on a reflectance subsystem frame configured to be raised and lowered over a second sample stage;
- receiving a reflectance subsystem response signal from the sample on the second sample stage by the reflectance subsystem bifurcated fiber to the spectrometer;
- and
- causing display of a reflectance graph of the received reflectance subsystem response signal.

- causing a first light signal to be sent from the first light source through an excitation fiber to a probe end mounted on a subsystem frame configured to be raised and lowered over a sample stage;
- receiving a first response signal from the sample on the sample stage by a collection fiber to the spectrometer;
- and
- causing display of a first fluorescence graph of the received response signal;
- causing a second light signal to be sent from the second light source through the excitation fiber to the probe end mounted on the subsystem frame configured to be raised and lowered over the sample stage;
- receiving a second response signal from the sample on the sample stage by the collection fiber to the spectrometer;
- and
- causing display of a second fluorescence graph of the received response signal;
- completing absorption steps by, sending a third light signal from a third light source through an absorption subsystem bifurcated fiber to a absorption subsystem probe end mounted on an absorption subsystem frame configured to be raised and lowered over the sample stage;
- receiving an absorption subsystem response signal from the sample on the sample stage by the absorption subsystem bifurcated fiber to the spectrometer;
- and
- causing display of an absorption graph of the received absorption subsystem response signal.
