Abstract
Disclosed is a module for sampling from a surface of an industrial vessel without requiring a person to descend into the industrial vessel, using a swab including a stem and a sampling tip, including a swab holder and a conveyor; the swab holder is adapted to receive and secure one end of the swab stem; and the conveyor is configured to set the swab holder in motion on the surface of the vessel.

A module for sampling from a surface of an industrial vessel without requiring a person to descend into the industrial vessel using a swab comprising a stem and a sampling tip, comprising a swab holder and a conveyor;
- the swab holder being adapted to receive and secure one end of the stem of the swab;
- and
- the conveyor being configured to move the swab holder at the surface of the vessel.
A sampling stick for sampling from a surface of an industrial vessel without requiring a person to descend into the industrial vessel using a swab comprising a stem and a sampling tip, the stick comprising a pole and a module, wherein the module comprises:
- a swab holder to receive and secure one end of the stem of the swab,
- a conveyor to move the swab holder at the surface of the vessel and
- an attachment to secure to an end of the pole.
