Examples relate to a seal assembly comprising a base unit comprising an opening and a sealing surface extending around the opening. The seal assembly further comprises a sensor to detect a distance between the sealing surface of the base unit and a sealing surface of a lid when a fastener is connecting the lid to the base unit.

A seal assembly comprising:
- a base unit comprising an opening and a sealing surface extending around the opening;
- and
- a sensor to detect a distance between the sealing surface of the base unit and a sealing surface of a lid when a fastener is connecting the lid to the base unit.
A sieve assembly comprising:
- a housing comprising an opening;
- a sieve to sieve powder inside the housing;
- a lid to close the opening;
- a seal member to be pressed between the lid and the housing;
- a plurality of fasteners to connect the lid to the housing such that a distance between the housing and the lid is below a predetermined distance;
- and
- a plurality of sensors to detect the distance between the housing and the lid.
