Automated multi-storey warehouse

An automated multi-storey warehouse to store a plurality of loading units (6) defined by respective trays;

• the warehouse comprising a first module (10a;10d) and at least a second module (10b), each of which comprises:
• at least one respective pick-up/deposit station (12a;12b;
• 12d;12b) designed to receive any one of the trays so as to allow an operator (11a;11b;
• 11d;
• 11b) to pick-up products from said tray and/or deposit products onto said tray;
• a respective transfer lift assembly (18a,18b;18d,18b) comprising:
• a) a lift shaft (19a,19b;
• 19d,19b),
• b) a lift movable in the lift shaft, and
• c) a pick-up/deposit device (21a,21b;
• 21d,21b), which is carried by the lift and is configured so as to be able to horizontally translate at least one tray from and towards the lift;
• wherein said second module (10b) comprises at least one respective storage column (14b) in order to define a storage module, said storage column having a plurality of places (15b) configured to house respective trays and being arranged in a position directly alongside the lift shaft (19b) of the second module (10b) to allow the pick-up/deposit device (21b) of the second module (10b) to horizontally transfer the trays with respect to said storage places (14b);
• wherein the pick-up/deposit station (12a;12d) of the first module (10a;10d) is arranged at a first level (5a;5d);
• wherein the storage column (14b) of the second module (10b) is arranged at a second level (5b) distinct from said first level and is arranged completely above or below said first level (5a;5d);
• and
• wherein the warehouse further comprises at least one exchange station (30), which has at least one exchange place (32) for the temporary depositing of a tray and is accessible by both the pick-up/deposit device (21a;
• 21d) of the first module (10a;
• 10d) and the pick-up/deposit device (21b) of the second module (10b).
