Abstract
An environmental control system is provided including a ram air circuit having a ram air duct and at least one heat exchanger arranged within the ram air duct. The ram air duct is curved about a ram axis. A compression device includes a compressor and at least one turbine operably coupled by a shaft rotatable about a shaft axis. The ram axis is arranged coaxially with the shaft axis.

An environmental control system comprising:
- a ram air circuit including a ram air duct and at least one heat exchanger arranged within the ram air duct, the ram air duct being curved about a ram axis;
- and
- a compression device including a compressor and at least one turbine operably coupled by a shaft rotatable about a shaft axis;
- wherein the ram axis is arranged coaxially with the shaft axis.

An environmental control system comprising:
- a first module including an inlet and a ram air circuit, the first module being oriented about a first axis;
- and
- a second module including an outlet and a compression device, the second module defining a second axis;
- wherein the first module and the second module are connectable to define a fluid flow path extending between the inlet and the outlet, wherein when the first module and the second module are connected, the first axis and the second axis are coaxial.
