Abstract
A panel device includes a panel unit, a light source, and a light-blocking layer. The panel device includes a light attenuation layer, or a tinted layer, to blacken the panel unit. The light attenuation layer is located between the light source and the light-blocking layer, specifically, on the rear surface of the light-blocking layer.
Claims8
A panel device, comprising:
- a panel unit that is light-transmissive and one of colored or colorless;
- a light-blocking layer including an opening shaped in correspondence with a representation displayed on the panel unit;
- a light source that emits light from a rear side of the panel unit and displays the representation on the panel unit with the light passing through the opening;
- and
- a light attenuation layer that attenuates ambient light to further darken light in cooperation with the light-blocking layer,
- wherein the light attenuation layer is located between the light source and the light-blocking layer.
