A method of inhibiting expression or activity of prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) in a cell, comprising contacting the cell with or introducing into the cell an effective amount of an mPGES-1 inhibitor, selected from the group consisting of ceftriaxone, aztreonam, cefotetan, pharmaceutically-acceptable salts thereof, and combinations thereof, wherein the contacting or introducing results in inhibition of expression or activity of PGE2 in the cell.
A method of treating coronavirus in a subject, comprising administering to the subject an effective amount of an mPGES-1 inhibitor, selected from the group consisting of ceftriaxone, aztreonam, cefotetan, pharmaceutically-acceptable salts thereof, and combinations thereof.
A method of reducing inflammation in a subject, comprising administering to the subject an effective amount of an mPGES-1 inhibitor, selected from the group consisting of ceftriaxone, aztreonam, cefotetan, pharmaceutically-acceptable salts thereof, and combinations thereof.
A method of reducing pain in a subject, comprising administering to the subject an effective amount of an mPGES-1 inhibitor, selected from the group consisting of ceftriaxone, aztreonam, cefotetan, pharmaceutically-acceptable salts thereof, and combinations thereof.
