Abstract
A stent for insertion into an intracranial blood vessel of the cerebral venous sinus system includes a proximal end, a distal end, a body between the proximal end and the distal end, the body comprising a plurality of wires in a closed pattern, wherein the stent is configured for insertion into an intracranial blood vessel of the cerebral venous sinus system. The stent is further capable of being repositioned, retrieved/re-sheathed, and removed for more precise delivery.
Claims20
A stent comprising:
- a proximal end,
- a distal end, and
- a body between the proximal end and the distal end, the body comprising a plurality of wires in a closed cell pattern,
- wherein the stent is configured for insertion into a target intracranial blood vessel of the cerebral venous sinus system, the stent being constrained within a lumen of a delivery catheter until the stent is positioned and deployed in the target intracranial blood vessel, and wherein the stent is configured to expand after deployment in a desired location in the blood vessel.

An intracranial stent system comprising:
- a catheter comprising a distal end, a proximal end, and a lumen extending between the distal end and the proximal end;
- a tip located at the distal end of the catheter;
- and
- a stent comprising:
- a proximal end,
- a distal end, and
- a body between the proximal end and the distal end, the body comprising a plurality of wires in a closed cell pattern,
- wherein the stent is configured for insertion into a target intracranial blood vessel of the cerebral venous sinus system, the stent being constrained within a lumen of a delivery catheter until the stent is positioned and deployed in the target intracranial blood vessel, and wherein the stent is configured to expand after deployment in a desired location in the blood vessel.
