Abstract
An intervertebral cage structure that comprises a shell main body, with the shell main body may be configured to receive and substantially encapsulate a main body. The shell main body may be configured in a clam-shell shape that include a first plate and a second plate that are connected by a bridge portion, wherein the first and second plates may comprise a surface pattern.
Claims10
A hybrid intervertebral cage structure, comprising:
- a main body comprising a first surface and a second surface located opposite to the first surface, the main body comprising a silicon nitride material;
- a first plate disposed on the first surface of the main body;
- a second plate disposed on the second surface of the main body, the second plate connected to the first plate via a bridge element;
- and
- an opening formed at a center portion of the intervertebral cage structure and extending from the first plate to the second plate via the main body,
- wherein at least one of the first and second plates comprise an outwardly extending surface pattern comprising a first plurality of depressions having a first depth that are symmetrically distributed over the surface pattern.

A hybrid intervertebral cage structure, comprising:
- a main body having a surface;
- a plate disposed on the surface of the main body;
- and
- an opening formed in the intervertebral cage structure and extending from the surface and through the main body,
- wherein the plate has a surface pattern that comprises a plurality of outwardly extending prongs having undercut sections proximal to a surface of the plate to retain blood, tissue, or bone graft and to promote bone growth.
2 more elements
A hybrid intervertebral cage structure, comprising:
- a main body having a surface;
- a plate disposed on the surface of the main body;
- and
- an opening formed in the intervertebral cage structure and extending from the surface and through the main body,
- wherein the plate has a surface pattern comprising a plurality of first protrusions and a plurality of second protrusions, the plurality of first protrusions each having at least one undercut section at a lower end thereof, wherein a superior surface of the plurality of first protrusions is a different shape than a superior surface of the plurality of second protrusions.
