Techniques for generating natural language descriptions of neural networks

A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing program instructions that, when executed by a processor, causes the processor to perform the steps of:

• causing a first neural network to perform a first operation based on a first input;
• and
• causing a second neural network to generate a natural language expression based on the first operation, wherein the natural language expression indicates to a user one or more characteristics of the first neural network when performing the first operation.

A computer-implemented method for analyzing characteristics of neural networks, the method comprising:

• causing a first neural network to generate a first output based on a first input;
• and
• causing a second neural network to generate a natural language expression that conveys to a user at least one of an architectural characteristic or a functional characteristic of the first neural network when generating the first output.
