Novel enhanced endovascular mechanical thrombectomy devices and techniques

A thrombectomy catheter comprising:

• a distal tip having:
• a tip inner diameter (ID);
• a tip outer diameter (OD);
• a tip distal end;
• a tip proximal end;
• a flared end towards the tip distal end having a flared end ID and a flared end OD;
• and
• a variable diameter portion towards the tip proximal end having a variable outer diameter (OD);
• a proximal shaft having:
• a shaft inner diameter (ID);
• a shaft outer diameter (OD);
• a shaft proximal end;
• and
• a shaft distal end;
• the shaft distal end being continuous with the tip proximal end.
